The Way I Heard It

So Teri has posted about her dress-buying excursion on Saturday, but there's some insider info that I heard that she apparently left out. All I know right now about Teri's dress is that it's white. Apparently at some point while Teri and her her mom were in the dress-selling establishment, her mom made the comment that she was probably the only girl in there who should be wearing a white dress. I would agree with that. After all, Teri isn't a ho like I'm sure most of the other girls were.

After lunch, Teri made a comment about maybe she shouldn't have eaten so much right before trying on dresses because she felt fat. I told her that she was most certainly not fat. Any guy reading this knows how much that was worth. However, when Teri was trying dresses on, she overheard some other girl whisper "she's so small" and another on a separate occasion say "she disappears when she turns sideways". I told you that you didn't look fat after lunch Teri.

Mostly I'm glad that Teri has found her dress already and that we can cross one major item off the list (in addition to the church and the photographer now). I know she'll look amazing in it too, though I won't get to know exactly what she'll look like until May 2.

I would say that everyone who gets to see Teri's dress or pictures of Teri in her dress is lucky, but I'm the one who gets to marry her, so there.

It's actually better that she had just had lunch before hand. There are far too many women who decide to buy a dress a couple sizes too small as "inspiration" to lose weight by their wedding day. You can imagine how that works out.

Plus, if you do some reading, you'll find research that shows how stress and anxiety of the days leading up to the day of the wedding actually ad water weight and such.

Ultimately, it's better to find a dress that fits and flatters you rather than the alternative. Liesel had a coworker who did both things wrong: Got a wedding dress 2 sizes too small, and one that didn't flatter her shape at all. Liesel claims she looked much like an unpleasant white sausage in the dress.

And Liesel wore blue because she's a dirty, dirty whore.
