Odds & Ends

I've discovered it's a little daunting to get wedding planning done around Christmas - it's too much at once! While I'm excited about Christmas, I look forward to not being stressed about 2 big events.

I have made some progress, however. I picked up some pew bows to decorate the church (do not ask Annie or Matt about their take on this, trust me), a card holder, thank you notes, bridesmaid ribbon, flower girl dress patterns and flower girl basket fixin's. I'm trying to make stuff that I'm able to, partly to save money & partly b/c it's fun to be crafty. The flower girl baskets will be my first "wedding project." I have 2 wicker baskets that need spray-painted white. I also have silk stephanotis and mini red rose buds that I will somehow incorporate in the basket. :) I'll post pictures of the project when I start. I also made an important discovery - Hobby Lobby is the best place for all things wedding related. Michaels is ehhh, & JoAnn's is ok.

Matt is the best fiance *ever* because he's involved in the wedding planning. He's made several trips with me to the craft stores, helping pick out dress patterns & card boxes. He's a trooper. :) And I love him for it.

The dress has been altered & is ready to go. The big things I want to get started on soon are: catering, cakes, & flowers. We have some good leads on the catering & cakes - can anyone recommend a good florist?

Hey Miss Teri! I booked Cua's of Columbus for my flowers...they rock! Flowers on Orchard Lane is also awesome! Good luck and have fun! :-)
